Coach Carp

John T. Carpenter, known by most as “Coach Carp,” has worked with students and student-athletes for the past 29 years. He has a deep love and passion for the game of baseball (14 years) and softball, which he has coached for 15 years, including winning a TC/USA National Championship in 2016. In addition to softball, Coach Carp has coached athletes in the MLB, NFL, NPF, and at all collegiate levels. He was also the Austin Westlake football chaplain from 2009-2013.

Inspired by his coaching experiences, Coach Carpenter founded Win The Moment LLC (WTM), an organization focused on training student-athletes to be leaders in life, on and off the field. He holds WTM clinics for athletes, coaches, individual teams, organizations, school districts, and businesses. When he is not on the field or holding a clinic, Coach Carp enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

“Don’t create memories; become memorable! Be the teammate that none of your teammates could ever forget!”
